FYI

Well, comment moderation has proven itself to be a great thing! Sorry I have had to use it, but glad I have. I have had a few "spam" comments lately. I'm thinking about taking the blog private. If I do this, you will need to let me know if you are interested in being "invited". I will send you an email through blogger. I believe you will need an account to view the blog if this happens. It is really a quick and easy process through google, but I wanted to let you all know that this might happen. Again, sorry for having to do it this way. I think most of you will understand......considering the last message I received I couldn't even understand the damn language!!!! Just let me hear from you if you want to continue checking the blog so that I can send you an invite.

"Happy Fathers Day!"

Jeff has heard that as much today as I heard "Happy Mothers Day" a few weeks ago. Just goes to prove that our little monsters can be so sweet.....when they wanna be! Of course in the midst of all those happy, well wishes they decided they needed a "day" of their own. So, the creation of "Kid Day" came about. For all of those reading this, please mark your calendar......"Kid Day" (according to Wyatt and Emily) is to be celebrated on July 2nd.

For the record, Momma had absolutely nothing to do with this....daddy either for that matter. This was a conversation that went on in the back seat of the truck today.

In case you didn't realize.....

You can click on a picture and get a larger view of it. I started using the smaller pictures in my post to save a little space....and with this wonderful dial up service the smaller ones load faster! Anyway, I know they are little harder to see, but if you roll your mouse over a picture and click on it, it will blow up so you can see it better. Thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't realized this neat little feature! Oh, and if you hadn't already....leave me a comment to let me know you have been here to check things out!!!

Graduation.....and after Graduation

Ok, so I'm slow! Most of you already know this! I'm using the excuse that I've been busy. Actually, I have been. This home childcare thing that I have been trying to get going, well it is finally making some progress! I am so excited to have a couple of kiddos! They are both temporary and part time....but at least I finally have some kids. I interviewed with a momma a couple of weeks ago who has twins.....cute, cute girls. I hope to start keeping them (full time and permanent) in August. Anyway.....my new "business", that's my excuse!

So, we have a new graduate in our house....YAY!!!! Sara didn't exactly have the best senior year, so this was as much of a "relief to finally have it over with" as it was exciting. The ceremony went great....a little long, but great. Granny, Paw Paw, Aunt Linda, Uncle Bob, Aunt Kerri, Kayla, Chris, Sissy, Momma, Jeff, Wyatt and Emily were all there to see her walk the stage and get her diploma.

Walking to her seat.

A "group" shot.

Heading to the stage.

Group HUG!!!!

After graduation we went home so that us girls......and Chris.....could get ready to go out! At about 10:30 pm we headed "out". To do what, we weren't really sure. That was up to Sara. As it turned out, she wanted to go get a tattoo......and Sissy had told her she would pay for it for her graduation present. So off we went. Of course Momma had her camera....and of course I took pictures of the process. Well, I took pictures of Sara's face during the process! She got her Zodiac symbol on the small of her back. After that we went to have breakfast before heading home. I think she had a good time.

I think these pictures speak for themselves! Obviously the last picture of her expressions was more of a "get that camera out of my face"!!! And of course there is the end result.

We had her party on Saturday, but I don't have those pictures resized yet. Give me a few days and I will get those up.

Life.....

What I wouldn't give to protect my kids from the harsh realities of it! Sara is off this morning to do something she has never had to do....and she shouldn't have to at only 18! She is going to the funeral of a friend. A girl who died needlessly in a car accident. A girl who leaves behind a son of her own. A girl who got behind the wheel of a vehicle after drinking alcohol and has paid the ultimate price. My heart goes out to her family......especially her little boy!
