Yesterday was the last day of school!! We are so excited to have a break from bedtimes and early wake ups....and to have the kids home with ME! I have been up to school quite a bit in the past couple of weeks. Em had a splash day, Wyatt had a field day and they both had awards and end of year parties this week. I didn't get great pictures, but I'll post a couple of them anyway.
Ok, something is up with blogger....it's not letting me upload pictures. I'll give up for now and try again tomorrow.
Welcome!! I blog about me and mine to update friends and family about us and ours. Second Time Around? Well, that's where I am. I'm on my second run at attempting this Momma thing. Brandie and Sara are grown and gone. Now I'm trying really hard to *NOT* totally screw up with Wyatt and Emily. So, read along and please, leave me a comment while you're here!!

Some pictures from May
Emily had another dance recital/tumbling performance.
One of her friends in tumbling is also in her class at school and a new friend that she made in dance class will be going to her school next year.
We took the kids to the river for a weekend camping trip. On Saturday we took a drive and found "Big Rocks Park". The kids had a blast climbing the rocks and wading in the river. I found a few remaining spring wild flowers to snap a couple pictures of. I LOVE Texas wildflowers!

Look Momma, no training wheels!!
Emily needed her seat height adjusted and training wheels tightened. When I finished that, she hoped on and took off. As I was watching her, I realized that her training wheels were not even touching the ground. Jeff said I should just take them off. I called her over and told her she should learn to ride without them and she could ask Santa for a new "big girl" bike for Christmas this year. So she ask if I could just take them off now! I did....and she took off! There was no hesitation, no whining....and NO wrecking. (we experienced all of the above plus some with the boy!!) She just took off. Within about 30 minutes she was taking off on her own without me holding on to get her started and she was making the turn to come back to where she started. She is growing up so fast.

Quick catch-up
We've had a busy spring! Now that I have my computer back I can post a few pictures. Let's see...
I don't often get them all 4 together to get a picture
like this anymore!
In March the kids and I headed south for a few days to visit Sissy, Sara, Granny & Pawpaw and to celebrate Sara's birthday. She wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory....great idea Sara, it was VERY yummy!! We took the kids camping during their spring break. Although we had to adjust our plans due to spring storms, we had a great time! We also celebrated Wyatt's birthday...he turned 7 on April 4th. We've had 2 or 3 baseball games every week since late March and dance class for Em every Thursday evening. To add to the craziness, we have had several doctor visits also. Wyatt has had several ear infections since last fall and it seems that we will be taking him in to have tubes put in his ears at the end of the summer. The kids school had a family night on Earth day. They planted trees during school that day, then grilled hot dogs and had kites for the kids to fly that evening. It was a lot of fun....and quite a site with all those kites flying, but I goofed and forgot my camera that night! Last week I went with Wyatt's class on a field trip to Texas Motor Speedway. We had a great time, but I don't plan on making another lap around that track......ever!!! I will just continue to enjoy watching the racing from my seat at the track or on TV. Here are some camping pictures and one of Wyatt playing catcher.

Back on MY computer!
I have lots of things I could update about....but this is all about Emily!! She performed her dance routines they have been learning in class on stage tonight. They were all so cute! I think Em did a great job....just like Sara, there was absolutely NO stage fright!
These are some pictures from her ballet routine....they danced to "Winnie the Pooh"
