More pictures from Snowday 2010

It's been like a winter wonderland around here....which is rare for Texas!  This snowstorm actually broke a long time record.  The Dallas/Fort Worth Airport reported 12.5 inches of snow!  I figure that gives me a good excuse to go overboard posting snow pictures!

Charlie had fun playing in the snow too.

I took this picture Thursday morning...
and again Thursday night.

Snow Day 2010

At 6:30 this morning when I took Charlie out, we had enough to make everything white.  It has not stopped snowing all day...and it's now past 8:30!  I got the call this morning that school was dismissing early.  After hearing all afternoon about all the BIG districts in the metro-plex (Dallas being the biggest) closing tomorrow, we finally got the call a couple of hours ago that our kids will be home tomorrow too.
After picking them up early today, we came home and got bundled up to head outside to play in the falling snow.  It is the perfect snow for packing!  Within 30 minutes we had 2 snowmen built and were ready to come in to get dry and warm up.  We had a great time though!  I haven't measured it, but if I had to guess I would say we have 8 to 10 inches on the ground now.  We are setting some records with this snow!
I have more pictures, but these are the ones from this afternoon.  I'll get the others resized and posted tomorrow.

This one gives an idea of how much it was coming down...and it was like that most of the day!
