The ice (mostly) stayed to our east!

Yay...we got to go on our field trip! Thank goodness too....Emily woke up so excited this morning! Areas to our east and north got hit pretty good with winter precip, but we were lucky. So we went, we rode and we had a great time. This year, both kids still believe in the magic that "is" Santa....though it dawned on me during the ride today, that this too will soon end. This makes me sad! The youngest of my babies are determined to grow up just as the oldest have done! OK, enough emotional mom stuff....here are some pictures from the trip!
Me and my girl!
She had ask me where the train was going to take us...I honestly didn't know! She was keeping an eye out to see.
With her teacher
She had a student teacher for several weeks this semester...we'll call her Ms. K. On Ms. K's last day, Emily was sooo upset....she had fallen in love with her! She was very excited the other day when she came home to tell me that she was going to get to see Ms. K again today!! She was able to go on the trip with us.
Singing Christmas songs.
With some of her friends.
Looking out at the Trinity River.
Here comes Santa!!
My group of girls all got a HUGE hug from Santa!
Emily was telling him what she wanted for Christmas.
